We are delighted to announce that a new outreach centre, providing car driving assessments, is now open in Worthing. The centre is operated by the Queen Elizabeth’s Foundation Mobility Centre and is based at The Charmandean Centre, Forest Road, Worthing, West Sussex, BN14 9HS.
Pictured outside the new centre are: Ann Scott, Driving Assessor, Sophie Green, OT, and Gill Edwards, Adminstrator.
The new Centre will be operating on Wednesdays – Morning 9am, 11am and 1:30pm sessions are available. All enquiries should be addressed to QEF on 02087701151
An Occupational Therapist and an Approved Driving Instructor will complete the assessments starting with a friendly chat to gather relevant information about yourself, a physical and cognitive assessment followed by an on-road drive. They will then be able to make recommendations for driving safety.
NOTE: To promote the new service for the first six months we are offering free assessments for local residents referred by a health care professional, up to and including the 30th September 2018.
