Yvette Bateman has been appointed as the new CEO at our East Anglia centre.
Yvette qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 1989 and since then has worked in many settings including Care of the Elderly, Neuro-Rehabilitation, and Canine Partners. In 2006 she joined East Anglian DriveAbility (then Kilverstone Mobility Assessment Centre) part-time and realised that it was her perfect job. Since then she has been passionate about the job and gradually increased her hours to full time as the assessment numbers grew. In 2013 she was appointed as Deputy Manager at the centre and, when Isabel decided to retire at the end of last year, decided to apply for the position of CEO. Following a rigorous selection process she was appointed as Isabel’s successor. Yvette says: “She will be a tough act to follow but I am looking forward to the challenges that this will bring.
I am currently a member of the Driving Mobility board but any spare time that I have is taken up with my family and four large dogs, three ducks and African Grey parrot”.
We all wish her well in her new position. She can be reached at YvetteB@eastangliandriveability.org.uk
